| The International Society for Gerontechnology organises 10-13 October 1999 a conference "Ageing and Technology; Starting into theThird Millennium". |
The venue is Technische Universität München, Germany. The conference is supported by the WHO and belongs to the activities of the United Nations "Year of Older Persons". The conference reflects the multi-disciplinary character of gerontechnology. The conference topics include; technology and ethics; living environments; technology in health care; design; mobility and transportation; participation- work, education and leisure; information and communication and social change and future developments. The conference provides for experts in the field a forum for discussion and exchange of innovative ideas and an opportunity to promote the autonomy, independence and social participation of older persons in the next Millennium.
